Our planet receives more energy from the sun in an hour than is used in the entire world in one year. And solar energy prices have decreased 4 percent per year on average over the past 15 years.
Solar power continues to gain supporters as countries look for safe, sustainable and plentiful sources of energy. At Hatch, we’ve been working with solar energy for over 25 years. In that time, we’ve seen the technology and industry evolve dramatically.
Our solar design groups have experience delivering initiatives around the world, with major projects in Canada and South Africa. We work with Hatch’s Environmental Services Group, which holds the majority of current work for the Renewable Energy Approvals (REA) in Ontario – one of the world’s most innovative solar markets. In Ontario, Hatch is acting as Owner’s Engineer for one of the first wave of utility scale solar facilities to be installed in Ontario. In South Africa, Hatch is extensively involved in feasibility and early engineering work on multiple 50+ MW facilities currently in development.
