AAMHatch awaits high-res satellite images
August 12, 2008
AAMHatch and its spatial information clients anticipate receiving the highest-resolution images available from a commercial satellite following the launch of GeoEye-1 satellite from Vandenberg Air Force base in California in August.
The new satellite will provide 41cm resolution for black and white imagery, and 165cm resolution for color imagery.
Higher-resolution images are possible, but there is a US Government restriction on images with more detail than will be supplied from GeoEye-1.
AAMHatch specializes in providing business mapping, GIS (geographic information systems), and GPS (location-based services).
AAMHatch has more than 200 geospatial professionals, and clients in Australia, South East Asia and South Africa.
