The Innovators: Maintenance training team wins with novel approaches

Some of the innovations include having workgroups participate as teams in workshops to reinforce daily routines; introducing mine and plant data for analysis by the workgroups, who invariably found ways to improve their processes; prioritizing criteria that would stimulate continuation of the process through early successes; and routine measurement and reporting of results to close the loop.

The new process was adopted by the client and added to its core processes in the client's Six Sigma/Operational Excellence program.
