The Innovators: Hatch to market alumina waste technology

Hatch has signed an exclusive 10-year marketing agreement with Virotec International of Australia to promote Basecon Technology to the alumina industry.

Basecon Technology is applied as part of the Bayer process, enabling the alumina industry to produce an environmently benign waste. The technology can also be applied to the caustic residue stored in containment ponds to contribute to complete environmental remediation.
